Terms of Service

Effective June 15, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and DojoPrep (“DojoPrep,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of dojoprep.com, our web app, and our desktop app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to be responsible for activity under your account.

The Service & AI output

DojoPrep generates interview questions, feedback, fit analyses, and résumé content using AI. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. It is provided for practice and informational purposes only and is not professional, legal, or career advice. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use any output. We do not guarantee any interview outcome, job offer, or result.

Practice-only use

DojoPrep is a practice tool. Its live and screen-related features are designed for self-driven mock practice. You must not use the Service during a real employer interview or any setting where doing so would be deceptive or prohibited. This is a material term — see the Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in immediate termination.

Plans, credits & payment

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis through Stripe until cancelled.
  • Plans include a monthly allotment of credits that are consumed by actions in the app (e.g. practice sessions and job fits). Unused credits roll over only up to the limit stated in-app.
  • Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of taxes, which may be added where required.
  • You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the fees you incur.

Refunds

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. We may, at our discretion, provide a refund for: (a) a duplicate or erroneous charge, or (b) an accidental purchase reported within 24 hours of the first charge (once per customer). Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from Settings (via the Stripe customer portal). On cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to the free tier.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you provide (your résumé, answers, and job descriptions). You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You represent that you have the right to provide the content you submit.

Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, to protect the Service or other users, or as required by law.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DojoPrep will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold DojoPrep harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that Province for any dispute not otherwise subject to a binding alternative process.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notified by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
